Pilgrim Geese thread

Just introduced 3 new Pilgrims to the main group and saw that the newbies can't go under the gates like the 'locals'. Too polite I suppose! Guess I'll have to remember that in the morning when I feed on the wrong side of that gate! And figure out how to give them access to that area without PoPo the bottle lamb fitting through too. She thinks she's a goose and LOVES their food! Always time for another project.... hmm.....

Well dang. I have posted 4 ganders for sale in the BST forum. I guess no one on here wants them. If anyone from this thread is local to north west Georgia, you can have them. They are pet quality only as they have some "not up to standards" qualities about them.
Wish I could help, it's sad to me when we have to try and find them homes then no one wants them. Poor fellows. I tried to re home a Muscovy drake and would let a girl go with him and had no takers either. Did you put them on craigslist

I did not. I don't know who might try to get them from Craig's List. They can stay where they are until I know the person taking them wants them as pets and will take care of them. I am in no big hurry to let them go. I just have too many ganders. Our gander to goose ratio is 6 to 2 right now. I have 2 picked out to keep because I know they're not directly related to the females. Hopefully they'll be rehomed by spring when it's time for pairing.

And if you and I were closer, I would have absolutely taken you up on the Muscovies. We're looking for some more now. Our little female is such a good flier. She flies from the other side of the property when we pull up at the gate. She overflies the fence and then turns so she lands inside the fenced area. The male can fly, too, but his landing aren't nearly as graceful....lol.

I don't do craigs list either, I tried here on BYC. Hopefully in the spring someone will want them.
