Can anyone please tell me what this feather pattern is called. Little lass? (Fingers crossed) hatched 12 April 2025. Full sized egg so mum should be shaver or blue laced Wyandotte. Father....anyone's guess lol. Most likely arucana x

The feathers have dark shafts. I don't think there is a standard color variety that fits. It's a pretty bird, but I think it is a cockerel with that amount of comb so early.
Thank you. Wings come right around to butt and quite the tail. That's why I was hoping for her rather than him 🙂

Hi again. Definitely a little lass. No saddle feathers, and her sister has an even more pronounced comb. Excuse their mess, about to do daily clean. Indoors as it's winter here atm.

Still looks like a male to me, with the large and colorful comb/wattles at so young an age. Time will tell, though.
Their mums are red shavers. They comb up very early compared to most other breeds. This girls will be laying in 4 weeks. Perhaps the photos don't give their size justice.
