Pine Bark Nuggets In The Run?

I am in the process of cleaning out my run and would like to put something around the edge to keep the wood shaving from falling through the hardware cloth on the sides. Can I use Pine bark Nuggets?

I can't imagine there would be a problem. We use pine shavings for the brooder boxes. I am no epert. Maybe others have an idea on that.

We have 3 runs that have pine bark nuggets in them. It works great. Today we put down some Stall Dry for odor and topped it with more bark. We've used this for 6 years or so and are very happy with it. The chickens seem to like it too.
