pine or cedar?

I have been using the pine shavings for the bedding for the coop and for the brooding cage. Can I use cedar chips instead? I have americauna adults and isa brown chicks

No. Cedar chips have aromatic oils that are bad for many animals to breath constantly.

I personally would not unless you have very good ventilation, and only around the adult birds, never the babies. Cedar aromatics are very hard on a birds respiratory system.
