Pine Shavings And Pasty Butts???!!!

We use one for humans, can't remember the name of it right now. I put a half teaspoon of the powder in their quart water jar. You could probably get a probiotic powder at any health food store, or one of those vitamin stores. Our chicks have really done well since we started up with that.

Wait, you don't use fine shavings for chicks? I grabbed a bag of fine at TSC cause I'd thought they'd clump and be easier to clean than the regular ones. Should I swap them out?

I think someone said they don't use them because they eat them too much. They will also eat the "shaved" too, but maybe not as bad.

I had heard that the larger pine shavings were better for baby chicks as they do not eat it as much as they could with the fine.
