Pine tree garland

I am wanting to have real pine tree garland around my porch this year with the long needles. Does anyone know how long it will last before it starts shedding it's needles if it even does?

I woudl like to do it now while the weather is better.

You don't show or say where you live. I do know that in cold weather they last much longer than in warmer weather.
