I am new to chickens and my 2 week old pullet had pink in her poo. The best way to describe it is it looked like an intestine all pink and lumpy. Is that normal ? They are on medicated feed and gatorade. Thanks for any info.

It is likely shed intestinal lining, which is normal and happens on a regular basis. Here is the poo page for you to rule out an actual bloody poo (which if it is liquid blood you would want to treat for coccidiosis).

Oh and I would immediately stop the gatorade. Sugar water is good for the first day or so only. There is an electrolyte solution just for poultry for sale at the feed store if they are ill (I don't give them this). You don't want them to have all that sugar.

Thank you for the info. I will stop the gatorade too. There is definately no blood just light pink. How long will they take to shed thier lining?

It is just something you see in the poo periodically, as they make new lining the old comes out.

You will see that forever, but only in some of the poops. Just know that liquid blood isn't normal.
