Pinless Peepers or Blinders for Ducks???

I was just wondering this my self. I have some new young hens. And have had 4 young drakes come up prolapsed this year. Had one prolapse last year. Any how one of my older drakes bred a hen and when he dismounted one of the young hens was after his penis. He acted like he knew she was trying to get him. He kept turning around to face her. So how I'm wondering if this is what happened to the other drakes?

Wow! Just wow! From your avatar it looks like you've got muscovy. Is that the breed that is in question with this problem? @Miss Lydia has muscovys and lots of experience. I'd think it's kinda weird to have so many with the same problem.

I wonder what the duck would have done if it go hold of his penis?

Shed have probably bitten it. Looks like something to eat when hanging. I am wondering if your drakes are getting quiet a lot of exercise? That can help with this problem and I understand not having too many females can also help can you tell us what your ratio is duck to drakes? I know about late summer my Runner drake was not putting his weenie back in as fast as he was when breeding first started and it did kind of worry me. But thankfully it never prolapsed.
What are they eating and are they over weight. I know my Muscovy drake could probably get over weight he isn't near as busy as the rest of my ducks.

Yes muscovy. I had several juvenile drakes prolaps this year (3) . And one juvenile last year. I just happened to notice the young hen scoping him out and I'm sure she would have grabbed it had he not turned around! The younger drakes from this year, the hens whr grabbing them. Not sure if that is why they prolapsed or if it was due to something else and they just seen it hanging. My older hens dont do this
I have 6 hens per drake right now and each drake has at least 2 young hens in his pen
They are all show lines. I dont feel like they are over weight they look how a exibition bird should look. And my birds swim a ton! So plenty of exercise
I feed a game bird pellet
