I use poultry cups to water my flock. I have some birds that have a bad habit of pecking each other. I'd like to put some peepers on them but am worried they won't be able to see the small cup when they look down to drink.
Last summer I put some peepers on one of my chickens for about a day. I watched her and when she went over to get a drink she looked down, couldn't see the cup and then walked away.
Has anyone had any experience with peepers and poultry cups?

Yep. They can pose a problem. The main issue is the peepers prevent the hen from getting her beak far enough into the cup to slurp the water.

I have a similar problem with vertical nipples. I have one hen with peepers that has no problem getting a drink, while another hen with peepers never was able to learn to use them.

The solution is to provide an alternate water source these chickens can use while wearing peepers. I hang a chick water bottle, and it gets the job done.
