I bought a pack of ten pinless peepers from randall burkey last week and they came in yesterday. I only have 2 easter eggers but about a month ago we bought a silkie to add to the group. Boy they didn't like her...We had her in a wire cage inside the run so they would get used to her, but that didn't work...She'd been living in her own little hutch for a while and I felt really bad for her. I caved in and bought the pinless peepers so we wouldn't have to built a second coop. Only the 2 EE's have them on but so far they are working! I put our little silkie girl in the coop last night and this morning they were all walking together scratching around! hopefully after a couple weeks or so I can take the peepers off after they accept her as part of the flock. I'm so happy this is finally all starting to work out!!!

Those things really are amazing, aren't they? They solve so many social issues.

And the annoyed-librarian glare that they give you over the top of them from time to time is a real hoot.

I will say they were pretty hard to get on...It was just me and I didn't have those pliers your supposed to use. I had to soak them in hot water to get them to bend easily. Then I wrapped the girl up in a towel with just her beak sticking out. I'm just glad they're all living in harmony now! I just looked outside and all 3 of them are dusting bathing together. I have a happy little silkie now!

I am so curious about this now. I'd love if you put up a picture of your chickens with their pinless peepers on!

Not too bad. Even if they looked terrible..... if they work, thats all that matters.
