Pip and stop

This is good to know as I had my own bizarre hatch experience with this one and had to have the humidity on the high side for a while. I will be vigilant during hatch.

Make sure to look up the guide to assisted hatching on this site! Read it in full and TAKE YOUR TIME!!
I now have dedicated broody hens but when I incubated ( only hatching from Feb to end of April) I did not put any water in my Styrofoam incubators and with the relative humidity here in Louisiana this time of year it was usually still too high. Around upper 20's to low 30's would be optimal till lock down

I too live in Louisiana and my humidity never dropped below 50. As someone reminded me earlier silica packets can help, but I literally threw about 25 in my incubator (I own a food business, had plenty on hand) and the humidity dropped about 4%. I'm not worrying too much. Hens incubate eggs in Louisiana in 7483% humidity every summer. Watch your air cells and just don't let it get outta hand has been my approach.

Ooh, my power went down yesterday and that was a panic! Only lasted 5 minutes though thankfully.

My hens refuse to properly set eggs or go broody no matter what I try! I have a few that kinda like wanna do it, but then give up after a few hours or days and go play with their friends. *shrug* Maybe because everyone here is pretty much 3 years or younger? Who knows. Perhaps someday!
