Okay. I have an egg that has been pipped now for about 17 hours. A couple hours or so ago it made a good size VERTICAL crack in the egg but never pushed the shell off around the pipped area. Now, the little bugger seems to have turned and made a pip lower on the egg, not even touching the area it was working in before. The new pip is lower on the egg than I have seen before. Should I do anything? Definitely not going to make for a normal zip! Last time I had a chick with an odd zip and it died without hatching. I don't want to lose this one!
