pip question

i am on day 20. i have one pip. it is on the side of the egg closer to the small end. it is not peeping or making any noise at all. i have seen the small piece of shell move but not for a while. is this normal? i know they can take a long time to zip but i thought they would make some noise or chirp or something. any thoughts from the experts?? thanks

Sounds like it is pipping at the wrong end. The chick may not be able to hatch successfully in this position and may die. Sometimes it is best to wait and let nature takes its course.
