I totally get it, but watching hatching is like watching a pot boil...it can take quite a long time and frequent checking can heighten the anxiety. How many do you have in the incubator?

29, light bantams and buff Orpington. I think. They are eggs from my husbands cousin. They r taking most back but we are keeping a few..

That's a good-sized batch! Usually, with my hatches, there's one precocious "early" hatcher, then - usually the next day - pretty much everyone else hatches. It can go from quiet to bedlam in the hatcher in no time.

6 have hatched, 8 are either piped or almost ready to pop out of their shells.. I will post pics. After they are fluffy.
