Yeah,
I have a pip. I never told but one other but when I got back to my mtn home I had a very broody buff orp. I felt sorry for her and gave her that days eggs from the other nest. I never even thought I would ever hatch chicks. Sun. is the due date. I went ahead and put her in a covered cat pan. I fenced off the end area of the coop so she could come out and would be protected. I put wire down and around all the soil, pilling the soil on top of it. Wellllllllll..... Today I did as usual picked up the broody and gave her food. She did not want to wake enough to eat so I dipped her beak in the water and she was eating so I just peeked in the nest. YIKes!!! YEAH !!! I have a pip my very first pip my very first broody. I am so excited I just had to come squeal it to everyone.
