Been kind of a rocky week for me due to some family drama that I will not be getting into here. Juuuust what I needed to eat up the last of my break before the semester picked up! At least today and tomorrow should be a bit more relaxing again so that hopefully I'm not going into the semester on Monday fully pre-stressed

Not much to say on the birds this week except that I suspect Johnnycakes has started into lay as of a few days ago. Unfortunately, she's been acting rather glum since I found that first egg suspected to be hers. Hopefully she's just working out the kinks and will be laying like a pro in no time.

Just a few pictures this week as well. Here's Freia giving me her big ole puppydog eyes because I wasn't getting the feed down fast enough for her one morning

And a couple of Chicha being silly in one of the feed pans once the feed had been delivered.

Can you guess where the feed bucket was sitting relative to where Flint was?

Every day I set the pan for the cockerels up on that hutch to fill it, and every day Flint thinks she should have a sample of what I'm feeding them, so she tries to fly up there while I'm doing it. Of course, I obviously keep my chickens on the verge of starvation, so her impatience for her breakfast is understandable.

Also wanted to share some T-shirts I got from Rural King while I was there for feed. They have some pretty great ones right now! These were my favorites, so I splurged

And... This will probably be me for the next 17 weeks
