View attachment 1828460 It looks like they approve. I guess I will build them another one.
Does this style have much waste on the ground? I’m trying to decide on one for inside my coop
So far there has not been. There is a fee crumbs on the ground around it, but not close to what the standard store bought feeders allow.Does this style have much waste on the ground? I’m trying to decide on one for inside my coop
Not a ton, especially if the Y is long enough. However, we just cut ours down a little because my chickens were having a little bit of a hard time reaching in (the feed wasn't always moving down well enough). So now they are able to flip more of it out, so I just put a pan under in and will just pour that back into the feeder, or mix it with water and make a wet mash for them. In my last coop, I had built one that was just a J shape and after using both styles, think that one actually moved the feed better without it getting stuck, but that style had to be attached to the wall since it didn't have a flat bottom (I used bungee cords).
