Piped but not zipped?

So I went int lockdown yesterday and immediately one of the eggs pipped. Now all this little bugger does is scream, he hasn't zipped yet. Is that normal?

Yep, sometimes they can be quite pokey.

Oh okay! I won't worry now! lol. I have a dozen Narragansett to hatch, so far one has pipped (it has two holes lol) and then two more are starting to break through, i can see where they cracked the eggs shell!

I've got one just like it in my hatching tray right now. Made a very good zip last night and has not progressed a bit since then.

I've learned my lesson with "helping" so he gets himself out or stays in there. Last season I had some take more than twenty four hours from first pip to full out.

It's werid, he has two pips. -shurgs- I dont plan on helping him, a second one piped! So excited! So I counted and 3 have that crack where you can tell they are getting ready to pip and the two more are pipped.
