Well they in an indoor coop in my livingroom and I clean that coop daily
Even your sweetest hen can be mean to chicks. I don't mix my new chicks with my older hens or roosters until they are close to the same size, that is about three or four months old. Never sooner than that. Their first reaction will be to peck. Now your young chick was still buildingu one of my 3 week old cochin chick just died today. She was fine early this morning! Then later I found her lying on the floor kind of freaking out. I picked her up and held her for a while, think her neck was hurt cause she couldn't hold up her head. A while later she passed. I have much older chicks and grown chickens. Would one of the older chicks peck her over the food? I had one die about a month ago for no apparent reason. I was kind of thinking my rooster did it. Is this possible?? Please help I'm a new chicken owner

Yes..very possible. Older chickens will go after the younger ones.chickens can be downright brutal to one another over many things..pecking order, feed, water..the coop...all of those factors. I've had hens that went after other hens chicks and ate them.u one of my 3 week old cochin chick just died today. She was fine early this morning!
