Yes..very possible. Older chickens will go after the younger ones.chickens can be downright brutal to one another over many things..pecking order, feed, water..the coop...all of those factors. I've had hens that went after other hens chicks and ate them.

Oh my goodness! Thanks so much for the information. I've separated the younger chicks so they're safe.
