OK, I have some peeps currently today.....piping at the wrong end of the eggs. Any advice???? This usually doesn't happen to me and I am worried they will get stuck. :<(( Should I let nature take it's course or get involved after so many hours have pssed. I can do that with confidence...if advised.... but don't like to interfere if I don't need to.

I prefer to allow nature to take it's course as past ventures of "helping hands' has been a 50/50 .

TIA...mags

I like to let nature do its thing.. But after 24 hours they aint out I will help.. I had to detach a Coturnix yesterday as he was still stuck tho the egg but I waited my 24 hrs before i did anything and now hes running around and eating up a storm.. Let us know how it turns out..

I hate to admit it, b/c I tend to agree with Darwin's theory but....I have helped and don't think it's necessarily a bad thing UNLESS you try to help too early and cause harm.
That's just my two cents.

Tell us what happened mags. How is the baby?

but because of my money situation and the process i have to go though to hatch out egg's and my work schedule it's important that i hatch out as many chicks plouts ducklings etc that i bought egg's for or as close as i can get to that number. so yeah if i see a chick that can't get out i'll help them but i wait till they are at least 24 hours over due for the last possible hatch day like day 22 or 23 but i proceed very slowly.
