ok so my egg piped 6 hours ago but i know it takes up to 24 hours but i cant get my humidity past aboyt 47-55 and the mebraine looks a little dry not alot but a little and he has mand no progress since he piped???

He is probably waiting and resting. To increase the humidity, try placing a sponge on it's edge in the water trays. This will increase the surface area for evaporation. You can also use a water wick...similar to the sponge but use fabric of some sort that the water can wick up into. I have a kids old sock for this purpose...stick one end in and lay the other out on the wire.

One of my eggs pipped with no more progress for 24 hours. The humidity wasn't an issue so I waited to see what the little guy could do. When another egg pipped and zipped within an hour, I decided to step in. Some shell was stuck to her back until whe was dry, but two weeks later she is doing great.

Good Luck!
