I have a Brinsea mini and the chicks are in lockdown with the fat end out, so I can candle through the side and see into the air cell. I positioned all of them so the low side of the air cell is up, but it looks as though he pipped through on the other side of it, the one underneath. Is this a problem, should I turn him over or leave him be? There are no pips at all from the other chicks, we are getting close to day 20.
Thanks!

I would leave the egg as it is as long as the pip is near the air sac and not the pointy end of the egg you will be fine. Once you have a hatched chick your eggs will be bashed all over the incubator so it really doesn't matter that the pip is the other side of the egg.

Good luck with your eggs hope you have a great hatch :thumbsup

Thank you. I was thinking about that, how the first chick will kick everyone else around anyway, they may all end up upside down:)

He ended up pipping out the top of the shell this morning, right where he was supposed to :) I was worried he was going to pip out of the bottom because I could see his beak in the air cell and it looked as though it was in the wrong position, it must have just been shadows, he's in the perfect spot.
