pipped egg but chick struggling

You have to have some hot/cold spots in the incubator that would be causing the chicks to be hatching days apart. Do you rotate the eggs around in the bator for the first 18 days---if not it would probably help.

I did think eggs on one side of the incubator felt cooler so that makes a lot of sense with having 5 not hatched. Something doesn't seem right with this chick, it can't lift it's head & one leg is stretched right out while the other is shaking, it can't get off its side.

The only thing you can do is chick saver or sugar water and get it hydrated. Temp issues can cause many many issues with the chick besides just a difficult time getting out of the egg...sometimes they dry out and do fine, most times they do not.

Wow!!!Just gave it some sugar water & within 5 minutes the difference was unbelievable. I hope it stays that way.

today has been a day of many ups & downs.thank you for your advice.
