My first egg to pip through shell 24 hours ago hasn't progressed. Beak is showing but no zipping and is just there. Another egg pipped and zipped about eight hours later, hatched last night and is running around owning the incubator kicking and rolling all the other eggs around. How much longer should I wait before intervening, or should I?

Hold the egg to your ear and see if it is moving or peeping. After 24 hrs, I would intervene. I would also move the rambunctious chick to a brooder once it is dry.

Already removed some shell and touched the beak, no movement but I did place it back in the incubator to keep an eye on it. Most likely already died.
