I have been wanting to film her doing this for a while but everytime i bring the camera out she wasn't 'in the mood' to show off but I was lucky today.

I was feeding them mealworms and decided to film them eating them, when Pippin walked over...all i have to do to get her to lay down like a goofball is move my face towards her, and esp if i say "pippin!" while I do it. LOL

I seriously believe she thinks I'm her mate and lays down for me lol! It's adorable her eyes get all twinkily when she stares at me, i guess it's love-eyes LOL! Completely adorable if ya ask me. She makes this "spee spee spee" noise when she does it.

Pippin still objects to being held, she complains teh whole time im holding her (the other ones jsut look terrified and dont make a sound) so i think she'sl ike "put me down you big idiot!" LOL! I had her out on the bed theother night she's fine as long as im not holding her, she gets scared and runs right over to me

all I did was handled her as a chick. She hatched with none of her siblings so I was her only companion for like a whole week of her life...after taht she lived with coturnix quails. She is afraid of my hands unless I have food in them, but she recognizes my face as her mate, so if I peek in on her in the tank she talks to me and lays downfo rme it's funny.

ooohhhh haha!!!!

You should be able to just click on it and it should send you to a page away from BYC to watch it. Then just click the back button and you'll be back here

That's cute! Maybe she's afraid you're gonna eat her, so she's playing dead!!

When did you move her back inside? Did she get too cold, or did you just freak out on her?

Nah I moved her inside without my mom knowing since she let me keep my younger hatchings (that were too young to go outside when it was still warm enough for them to start winterizing) in all winter so I brought her in too because she's pied and I want to work with that color asap!

I can't wait until my silver male starts getting his malley hormones so her eggs will be fertile!

As for her being afraid of me lol! yeah right, she sees me coming and she runs to the glass for attention the other two they skatter and pace back and forth as far away from me as they can get (they weren't handled as chicks I just let htem be chicks because they had buddies, Pippin didnt have buddies when she hatched weeks ago).

I sitll have a BQ hen outside Kitty.
