Our number 2 duckling egg is still wiggling in the egg however is up to around 40 hours now since first two pips with no more pipping or zipping.
We have 6 eggs in the incubator and 4 have pipped since then, one this morning, two yesterday and one the same time as this one.

Number two pipped before we had raised the humidity in the incubator. So we opened the incubator to fill the water up, made sure we only took 3 seconds with the lid lifted. Since then 3 others have pipped but this one is now entering the 48 hour from pip, still wiggling but no sign or any more progress on the pips.

The ones that have pipped since we raised the humidity are progressing further than our number 2 egg.
I think we need to help later on but unsure what to do? Please help!

I’m not really sure but pipping takes a lot of time like as if 24 hours don’t touch the egg number 2 yet I think giving it a bit mire time might cause it to zip out within 10 miniutes

I’m sorry I don’t know about duck eggs but pls don’t try to intervene before the certain time
U can carefully intervene when u know that it has gone over it’s hatching time limit

one of my quail eggs cracked a bit and I thought it had pipped the following day it accidentally fell from my hand and I thought the chick was alive and I broke the shell leaving only the membrane when i carefully opened it the egg yolk and the fully formed dead chick caned sliding down it was too painful to take a picture so don’t try to intervene before a certain time and in ur case u might cut off a large blood vessel and that can result to the chick’s death
Let me know if ur chicks ok and brome free
I could do with some adorable pics!

Hi!
Thank you for your messages.
I have 4 that have pipped in atleast two places.

One hasn't had anymore pips since 5pm on Monday afternoon.

One has pipped in the smaller side of the egg, which is upside down!

I don't want to intervene and then harm him 😭

Look I know u must be scared
But u need to learn how to intervene correctly if u decide to do it start to peel the shell off and wet the mebrane with water so that the chick can breathe

in other case I would suggest u to instantly go to the vet

This is what we are concerned about. Sorry should have said that at the beginning, will change the first question
