pipping at day 19?

It doesn’t matter if they are supposed to or not, some do.

There are a lot of different things that effect when an egg hatches; humidity, heredity, how and how long the egg was stored, and just basic differences in eggs. A real big difference maker is the average incubating temperature. If the average temperature is warm, they can be early. If it is cool, they can be late.

I’ve had eggs hatch (not just pip, but hatch) two full days early under a broody hen and in my incubator. I’ve had eggs hatch right on time under a broody and in the same incubator with the same settings. Sometimes these hatches stretch out for over two full days but often they are over within 24 hours of the first one hatching. That’s the early ones as well as the ones “on time”. Each incubation is different.

Thanks, and the eggs are under a broody hen

Had both hatches out of my incubator all hatch before day 21.... all were hatched by day 21 and all fluffed out. Pipping at 19 days is no big deal at all.
