Okay....They pip and then rest..During this time they absorb the yolk..Once ready Chicks are quick to zip out....Just wait...You do not want to assist too soon....

I know they need to rest (I would too!). Just didn't want to leave them too long. Also wasn't sure if the two loud cheepers were in distress.

I took the eggs out of the turner on Day 18, so yes, they're laying on the plastic mesh. The pip holes are facing to the side, not face up.

I see that the pips ARE facing to the right side. Is that a good thing or should I move them to the opposite side? (You should see me trying to calculate what zipping counter-clockwise means in relation to the present location of the pips! Pouring more coffee now, LOL)

Where are the pip holes on the two loud peepers

Apparently everybody decided they wanted their pip holes facing up and turned them while I was online! I guess that means they're alive and hopefully well....

Fat end of the egg facing your left side and pointy end to your right..Pip should be a little above centre ...Make sense?
