I have three eggs that have pipped in my Genesis 1588. Temp is at 100 F and humidity is at 63%. Do I leave the vent plug in our out?

Great ladies, thank you.

What would be a low humidity #? Right now every time a chick is born my humidity goes up a little. I just took the vent off and I am at 72%.

I've hatched many chicks with humidity around 40%, so don't worry about it too much, it's supposed to go up when chicks hatch. Since you just took the plugs out, the humidity will probably drop, but don't worry about it.

You are past the point of making them drown now, so overly high humidity is no longer a concern. Now you're watching to make sure the humidity doesn't dip too low as that will cause the chicks to shrink wrap. There really is no magic number as there are too many variables for a definitive answer. Just try to maintain he humidity you have now, as that obviously is working well for you

Thanks. I've literally have not done anything in my home. Sitting on my bed with my laptop and bator on my dresser.

I hear ya!! My Hubby is annoyed that I only got minimal stuff done today!! I just can't help it!!!
I have to leave soon to do Mommy duties 'cause he's making me.. and it doubles tonight as family time, so he's lucky! LOL!

I was hoping for some hatching, but not counting on any today! Next time, I'll plan better! ROFL!!
