When should i expect pipping? 8/24/12 will be day 18 on my eggs. Also, when they hatch how should they receive fresh air inside the incubator? Help!!

If everything went according to plan you should see pipping by day 21, though sometimes chicks come a day early or late. I had a batch of eggs under a hen hatch on day 22 once with the last one hatching on day 25! Keep your humidity at around 60-70% and the temperature constant. If the incubator is well ventilated you don't have to worry about the chicks getting enough fresh air. Once the chicks start hatching don't open the incubator! Wait until they are dried off and them remove them and place them in a brooder, but be quick so you don't lose too much humidity. To get your humidity up you can place wet sponges in the 'bator.

Good luck and keep us posted!
