They turn into maniacs a few hours after hatch: kicking eggs, dragging younger chicks around by the toes, peeping all night and keeping your kids up…regular little hooligans! I toss them in the brooder when I have a couple up and causing problems, I’ve even taken a few sulky late hatchers that thought they were just too weak or lonely to live and wouldn’t even try getting up a couple hours after hatch and still a little wet and tossed them in with the slightly older chicks, sibling rivalry perked them right up! I wouldn’t leave them in more than 24 hours, most of mine are out in 6 or so unless an overnight hatch. My humidity is also ridiculous so they never fully dry out until the brooder. Have fun!
