Hi,

Today is day 21. Last night there were two pips. One has clearly quit. The other is making noise but hasn't made any progress in 12 hours. Two more pips this morning but no additional sound or movement. How much longer should I give the peeper before trying something? Humidity was low this morning. Wonder if he's stuck. Ugh.

Whats your humidity at?

It was under 50 first thing this morning. I added some water.

Without opening the bator...do you have top holes you can push 100degree water through? With a needless syringe? You really ahouldnt be opening it during lockdown...or a small funnel..worse case a new sponge you can put in that is saturated with 100 degree temp water? I fill a cup and use mt meat thermometer to test how hot water is...give or take a few degrees.

Yes. Just did that. Thanks. Humidity is 70+ right now. The little guy is still cheeping in there and moving a bit. The others that have pipped have no other signs of life. Bleck.

Don't rush it!
I have had eggs pip and then take upwards of 12 to 24 hours before
they started to zip.
They know when it is time to come out of the egg!

Sounds good...they peep intermittanely ...pip internally...rest...pip externally...rest...zip for a bit...rest...patience;) Lol ive got some doing the same thing right now but im leaving for the day...so im not nose squishing on the bator! Dont open it and let nature take it course! :D

Thanks. We have a few others rocking and rolling a little. The one I'm concerned with is still in the same position. I'm going to try not to look again until dinner time. Thanks for the help.

So - the guy I mentioned in my op was clearly stuck. Same spot for 24 hours. He was wrapped pretty tight. Paper towels, warm water, yada yada, yada, he's out. I was originally concerned. There was a bit of blood. It's been a couple hours and he seems fine. This is my next question. We had another hatch a few hours ago. The two that are out are pretty matted. Not so much wet but no where near fluffy. They are reaking havoc. They are sprinting around playing bocce with the other eggs. Can I move them to a pre-brooder of sorts sooner rather than later?

Thanks!!!
