Pips on Day 19!?

Is this normal?? I can see rocking and a small pip on one egg and it is only day 19. Not sure what to think. Help!

It's all good! Congrats on the pips!

This is normally caused by the temp being higher (101 at egg level). Nothing wrong with it. After this batch, try to calibrate your thermometer of course for future hatches.

So excited right now!! I can hear little chirps. My kids and I can hardly keep away from the bator!

Isn't it exciting?! On my first hatch, 3/6 hatched on day 19 and the others followed the next day (Temp was under 100). It was a wonderful event! I wish all my hatches did that.

We find our bantams frequently start hatching on day 19

I got pips on day 18 and 2 hatched out already

Excitement turned to worry. There are pips on six eggs since last night but no hatches. The pips are really small and the eggs still have movement but there is no progress. How long does it typically take to hatch after the first pip?

I would give them until the very end I always wait till they are 23 days some people will wait till 25 days.

I just never had any success personally past 23 days.

It sounds like its still early in the game for you just don't open that incubator

It can take up to 48 hours after the pip before the zip...it depends on how long it takes the chick to absorb the yolk and external circulatory blood.
