My duck eggs are pipping! Any minute now I'll be able to figure out what type of duck is in them.

First one is out (yeah, fast little booger) and one thing is clear...

it's the wrong kind of duck. Definitely not a Rouen. Ah well, it's a keeper, the look of wonder on my son's face as he watched it pip, zip, and struggle out of the shell, and the triumphant shout he gave of 'mommy my duck hatched' has ensured it a long, healthy, and no doubt spoiled life.
