They are SO sweet and calm compared to the runners I had a couple years ago. We are going to keep 4 of them but raise 6. The 4 we are keeping are named Speckles, Sprinkles, Whiskers and Count Drake-ula. My kids were in charge of the first 3 and the hubby picked the last.

I was hoping to sex them by their bill color, but only 2 looked specifically like girls supposedly look and the others are all pink or have a black stripe down the middle. I suppose we shall see in a few weeks!!

Oh how precious....I want my babies here now. But I am still waiting. Now I know what the WH babies look like. I have them and anconas coming. hehehehe

yes, Walmart. I was going to get something else but thought WHY spend more money when I can use this now and then turn it into a pond later? It's working well so far. Hopefully they won't be able to jump out of it when they get bigger!

Good luck with that I had banham ducks that were getting out of the pool after the first week! Some would huddle and the excapee would climb on top and jump. Usually he would sit out side and 'peep' because he wanted to get back in where it was warm and with the rest of the flock. Finally put cardboard sold as draft shield around the INside of the pool.
