pixs of 4 bantam chicks day 22 on pg 3

i am on day 18, my 8 bantam cochins and silkie/showgirl eggs from asher are under my silkies. i am so nervous. i eyeballed them today (afraid to candle) while 1 of the broodies was up for food & water. i swear i saw some move. all three silkie hens are sharing the nesting, it is quite amusing.
what should i be doing? never got this far in hatching b4 and i am not sure what to do....

I am on day 18 too! Not au naturale, though. I can't give you advice, but I can wish you and your silkie good luck!

I'm thinking mom knows what to do best.

what color bantam cochins do you hatching?

i believe what asher said was cochin babies should all feather out blue as they are a splash boy with all black hens. The silkies are all colors so it's anyones guess.

i am so excited!

but so worried

i did get my nerve up to go and candle. 3 are no good-watery, one was cracked and definatly no good. but one of the others laid eggs in the nests when i wasnt looking so not sure how many of asher's eggs are still good but max 5. it is hard to see the smiley faces we marked them with.

aaargh! no more setting this yr.... cant take the pressure.

DAY 19..... nothing yet.

the hens moved all the eggs tho, does that mean anything? when i say moved i mean she had already dumped them out of the nest and made her own from shavings days ago. today when i was not looking (dang those teens for needing transport!) she and the other hen moved them about 8" or so to a new location in coop. does any one know y?

DAY 20 7:30 am est
i think one has started as there is a little tiny crack like pip that comes from the inside. i checked when the moms went to get water and food.

please let some hatch out....

2 definite pips but how long to hatch from that? what can i do to help or it a just watch and see?
