Well, I decided to get some chick grit earlier this week so our chickies could sample some variety. They ignored the apples (I sliced them and removed all the seeds). They are very mildly interested in the leaves of cabbage. I hung a head of it off of the bottom of one of my little tables so they could reach/peck at it. But it's the yogurt that they seem to like best. I spooned some out into one of the cabbage leaves. At first they just stared at it. Intently. Then a few of them walked through it...
Finally, one of them managed to dip their beak in it. And suddenly, he was obsessed. Sat there guzzling it for the longest while. The others would watch him and occasionally come to try out the funny looking white stuff.
As per the ones who walked through it... should I worry about their feet? Will they get cold, or pecked at etc?
I'm going to get some live crickets from the pet store tomorrow so I can watch them chase.
I'm putting in my order for red worms too. Have my box all ready to start my worm farm in.
