Im starting to plan out my aviary for my mandarin ducks...Im going for 10 x 20 feet in size... I know mandarin ducklings climb so need the wire to have spacing of either 1/2 or 1/4 inch...The bottom 2 or 3 feet of the pen will be wood (im hoping) and then another 2 feet or so will be the fencing with the spacings of 1/2 or 1/4.. then using a "regular" poultry type netting over the rest of the pen and top....
Im still debating between using PVC pipe or cattle panels... If I want the pen to be higher than 6ish feet, I will have to use PVC pipe....
If anyone has pens of this type, can you please post pictures for me for reference?? Ive snooped all over the net and have found some, but its hard to compare them and ask for input and advice...
Also..if I dont use treated lumber, what should I use to treat the wood to prevent rotting?
