I always have my chicks delivered to my office rather than my very rural house so I can get them unboxed and warm hours faster.

My officemates always look forward to the arrival of the cheeping boxes, but I hadn't realized quite how much. My receptionist just came in with the new 2009 calender and wanted all my delivery dates so she could put it on the office planner. She said it's such an event she doesn't want to have anything else scheduled for those days.

I didn't have the heart to tell her I was only getting one delivery next year not 3 or 4 like in the past.

One of my coworkers thinks the only good animal is on a plate with gravy. No cats, no dogs, not even a hamster or goldfish meets with her approval let alone poultry. Thankfully both managers are HUGE animal nuts and they're fine with the occasional chick delivery as long as I keep them in my office.
