Planning for winter

I only have two ducks and I was wanting to know if those red watering cups for chickens would work? I plan on using them only inside their house for drinking water . I do plan to have some type of bathing water for them outside in the pen but it may freeze rather quickly. Im trying to keep the house dry. I also plan on having 200watts of heat trace tape on the floor so im not to worried about the water freezing in the house. Thanks

Not exactly sure what you mean by the red water cups. Are they the ones that are connected to a plastic container that spins onto a red bottom?

They are spring loaded to let water in and look like they have a thread similar to the nipple water

Would you be able to post a pic? For my ducks in the winter i just fed and waterd them inside and kept a little food outside when they did go out.
