planning on starting to incubate and hatch eggs

Could you guys give me some tips and a list of things i need to get? or anything helpful? this is my first time to do so, and what type of chicken should i hatch? THANKS! i cant wait

or you could get a hova bator, fertile eggs, and maybe set up a brooder for them so you're ready for them when they hatch.

I am a newbie too, just hatched twice so far (third and fourth are on the way).
You need these :
incubator
thermometor (2-3)
hygrometor
eggs

I would not buy expensive eggs for the first time hatching. You can test cheap eggs and get used to your bator first.
If you have good hatch rate, you can start to spend more money for eggs

Do the chicken breed search tool on here to determine what kind of chickens you should get, based on what you are looking for. Also, for an incubator, I highly recommend the hovabator genesis model #1588. Search this section (incubating & hatching eggs) for info to get started. Good luck!
