Welcome to BYC and you won't regret moving to NC go to the local feed stores during chick days and they will carry the breeds that do well in the area misr if the time the chicks they get are local well is what I havr discovered here in NC glad to have you and good luck with your move and new flock
 
Thank you to everyone who welcomed me! There is so much on this site! I will definitely go to the NC thread next and David, I hope to move in time to go to a chick days. I am leaning toward Wyandottes.
