Hey guys,
I'm looking at making some feeders that will hold a bag or two of feed to use with broilers, and maybe my layers if I like them. I'm having to cut down the time I spend working with my birds every day, so feeders and waterers that will last longer are at the top of my list.
I'm also thinking of how to build my gravity waterers. I know it would be great if I can get old hot water tanks, but not sure where to find them. Also thought about using plastic 55 gallon barrels. What dimensions have you had luck with as far as length of tubing and depth of the bowl you use, how high you need to elevate, and if you've made any moveable ones I'd love to hear about it.
In an ideal world I'd have one waterer covering 2 or 3 coops but I'm not sure how far I can run tubing and have it still work properly.
