Can anyone identify this plant? I am told it may be poisonous to my family and pets if eaten.

Yes, Russel. That is Deadly Night Shade. Otherwise known as Beladonna. It messes with the heart rhythm. Produces a beautiful ruby colored berry that kids are attracted to. You'll want to remove it, bag it up and get it off your property. Be sure you wear gloves when you do b/c the sap can be absorbed into your skin.
