I would like to grow plants in my house to put in hanging feeders as treats for my chickens to peck at. I kinda don't want it to take crazy long for it to grow. what would you guys suggest I plant.

Do you spout til there are little tails or til it is a few inches tall?I recommend sprouting grains ,
It easily done inside , I only do it during winter when greens are under snow .
Lentils , mung beans , broccoli sprouts .
Look it up , it’s easy to do and cheap
This goes against what you want, but in the long run would be a whole lot easier. Once you get some comfrey going outside, it will keep coming back and you won't have to mess with replanting stuff in your house. However, it will wilt down in the winter. I'm not sure if it will grow indoors permanently or not. I have started it from seed indoors though.
I looked this up to try comfreyView attachment 1508301
