I would like to grow plants in my house to put in hanging feeders as treats for my chickens to peck at. I kinda don't want it to take crazy long for it to grow. what would you guys suggest I plant.

This goes against what you want, but in the long run would be a whole lot easier. Once you get some comfrey going outside, it will keep coming back and you won't have to mess with replanting stuff in your house. However, it will wilt down in the winter. I'm not sure if it will grow indoors permanently or not. I have started it from seed indoors though.

It depends , I do it in a flat dish . Sometimes they have leaves on the tops and the roots have bound the whole thing together . It’s really neat .

I bought a 3 level sprouting system for $20 used, but before that I did it in mason jars ...

Easy and cheap it’s my motto
