planting seeds under a screen

Ok awhile back I found where someone planted seeds under a screen allowing the chickens to peck at the growth that went beyond the top of the screen. Then when the plants became root bound, they removed the screen allowing the chickens to scratch it all up.

Well, I didn't bookmark it (or pin it) and now I cannot find it again. Does anyone know what the heck I am talking about and where I can find what kind of seeds they planted.
