If its not the ducks eating them, its the "duck dirt" and the nitrogen killing them.

I need some plant life in their duck pen...its all turned to mud because of the pond and their "dirt"

They do have plenty of shade from trees and bushes outside of the pen, but I'd like to have something

for them to 'hide' in or under to feel safer. I'd also like it to be visually more appealing as its right beside

my patio!

Help!

Good luck with that. I wouldn't put anything in there that wasn't edible, because most likely they will try to eat it. You could build something for them to hide in for them to feel safe, but it will most likely stay a mud pit.

If you want plants in there, you could do pots that have plants in them and then swap them out when they get munched on.
