plants?

I'm wanting to plant day lilys and mums in the back yard. does anybody know are these toxic or non toxic to chickens?

Either way it's not really drop-dead toxic and the odds of your chickens eating them, then dying.. Are pretty rare i think. My grandmother has flowers planted all over the place out here, some i know are toxic. And the birds have never touched any of them.

ya i'v been readying the poultyhelp toxic plant list, and they pretty much list every single plant i can think of on there as causeing something or another.I'm just worryed about the ones that will cause them to drop dead or get them really sick, even though i dont see day lilys specifically listed just other lilys.

I think the only time you would have to worry about chickens eating anything like that is if you were tempted to mix it up in their feed or hand it to them. Handing it to them a lot of the times will cause them to eat it because they see you as one of the flock (usually), you're the feeder, and typically when another one of the flock shows something to the others it means "It's alright to eat" or they will just eat it from your hand because of curiosity.
