I have two of these that I bought to use in my brooders and they both leak. Has anyone else had this problem? Anything I can do to fix it? I ended up buying some different ones from another store but I really like that I could hang these.

Mine do... Not to bad, but they do. I don't hang them anymore, I set them on a 12x12 inch patio brick, and then 2 pavers on top of that, then set the waterer on that. No more leaks. I think that the hanging is the problem. If they aren't hanging right... leak. annoying as heck.

Mine leak now whether they are hanging or not. I'm not sure what happened, but they were actually fine for a while before they started leaking.

I had trouble with leaking too. One I actually returned because I thought it was defective. Some ate looser than others that's for sure. But, I too, found that if I set them on something completely level (I made little platforms out of some short scrap 2x4's), no more leaking. I haven't had trouble since.

We have 3 of them. 2 have never leaked and are still in use. 1 started leaking after a few months and I discovered a small crack in the base where the tabs lock in. I should just toss it out but I'm thinking I may just use some aquarium sealer on the crack and see if it works.

I absolutely hate those waterers--I acidentally bought another one this spring during chick days. It would not hold water at all, so I took it back. The kind other feed stores sell (Little Giant) without a holder seem to not leak. My older one from TSC yesterday leaked all over my pine shavings yesterday, so it's going in the trash. It is scary to think how many times I have put one of those out, and come back to the chicks having no water, so I always put out extras now.

I hate those plastic waterers. Stick with metal ones if you want one to hang. I'd prefer to put them on a platform of bricks and haven't had any problems.

I've got seven of those TSC waterers, and as long as I put them on a level surface, there isn't any leaking. I never hang them - most of them are sitting on cement blocks. I like them because I can handle them easily. I have a five-gallon metal waterer, and it is too heavy for me to carry it when it's full. Sounds like I was really lucky to get that many waterers that didn't leak.
